I HATE BEC WITH A BLOODY PASSION!!! I have finally figured out why I don’t like this (insert dirty word here) test. It’s because it makes me feel (dirty word) stupid! I get to the point that I can’t (dirty word) add anymore. I forget basic (dirtiest word) algebra because I’m too busy trying to remember a (dirty word) formula that I will NEVER use again. Then I begin to wish I had spent more time in the Ag Shop learning to weld as good as my Daddy, because if I had, I could make a decent (dirty word) living and not have to do this (insert all of the dirty words here and then make up new ones to add) ever again!!! It sucks!!! Why can’t we just have one freaking formula for something? NO, we’ve got to have five (dirty word) different formulas that all come to the same (make up some more new dirty words here) answer. I am convinced that this test was designed by the Devil to test us, not on accounting but to find out just how many of us would lose it! Well, I’m about to snap! Between Operating Leverage and Weighted Average Cost of Capital and Corporate Governance and a freaking hurricane beating down my (dirty word) door, I’m about to nut up!

I've tried flash cards and writing them 5 times but when I go to apply the formulas I get confused, then I get frustrated and then I miss more questions, and then I get more confused and more frustrated until I snap! I'll work through this. I've passed it before, I guess I'll pass it again, eventually!

What really gets me about the formulas is that they can give it multiple names. It's bad enough to remember the formula let alone that the name of it can be substituted with two more names.

@kricket, yep, I have been known to be a POCA a time or two, almost became one in the gas line today!

What formulas are giving you the trouble, or what section are you missing the questions on?

@bnrhilton – Financial Management drives me insane! or it has driven me insane. I'm not sure just how sane I am after staring at this (insert dirty word) all day!

Why do people have to act a fool when there are lines to get gas? We had some of that during Rita. After several altercations the State Police had to stand guard at the gas stations. Ridiculous! Did you see the Governor's press conference at noon today? Bobby has a plan and they are running with it! I'm proud to see it. He has a plan to relocate livestock and harvested crops! People who have to go to shelters and have pets can have the inmates at Dixon or Avoyelles Correctional Centers take care of them. It was unreal. I don't see how they forgot ANYTHING! They have inmates filling sandbags at Hunt Correctional Center south of Baton Rouge. The ambulances started transporting patients and nursing home residents this morning. He didn't break down or start bawling like Blanco did! He was all business. I was genuinely proud to call him my Governor!

It looks like Isaac is going to be a slow mover which means he is going to sit and tear up (dirty word) for a day or two. That should mean quite a few people without power but at least he's not predicted to get over Cat 2. That's good news. If he turns or if y'all need help with anything just send me a message. I am so glad to see this!! Not because it sucks for you but because I'm not the only momma about to pull her hair out over this $!$@*#@ exam. I'm taking BEC on Wednesday and it has put me in a (dirty word) mood. I am the same with the formulas and the frustration. It really does make you feel like you don't know anything sometimes. . .grrrr! If one more person tells me “Don't worry you're smart, you'll be fine” I'm going to snap LOL I think I need Eye of the Tiger to be playing in the background when I take this.

What helped me the most was to write the formula down every time I worked a problem. Not just use it to work the problem but still write the words out. Good luck!!!!

That is priceless!!! Thanks for the kick in the a$$ but it's 12:14am here and I've been up since 4am I'm tired and about to go to bed! Sleep is just as important as studying, sometimes, not all the time, but this is one of those times.
