Wow I got a lot of questions that came out of nowhere. Unfortunately this is my 4th time taking this part and this time I used Yaeger (previous 3 were Becker). I got a bunch of questions that I didnt see in Yaeger material (actually saw questions that I remembered from Becker but forgot how to answer them since I last took the exam Feb 2009). I really dont know how I did and I didnt get that many calculation questions compared to theory based questions. Hopefully everything turns out well.

Since you had the benefit of studying with both Becker and Yaeger, I'm sure you did well!

I'm scheduled to take BEC this Friday, but I do not feel ready at all. I'm thinking of postponing it until July. Since you have taken BEC already, would you recommend that? I feel like I need a few more weeks to get the formulas down (it's hard to work and find enough time to study). Are there as many formulas on the exam as I am afraid there are?

    Thanks!!

I was able to memorize alot of the formulas by doing the problems. I would focus on one area and do a bunch of questions at once on that formula. Have you gone over all the chapters once already?

I have gone over each chapter once, but I keep struggling with the formulas. I think if I had a couple more weeks, that I'd be good. I'm not sure if 1 more week is enough. Oh how I wish I had 36 hours a day!

I am taking BEC on friday as well (in MA). i took it in march and got a 66 on it using becker. i ordered the Yaeger CRAM and i think for IT and Business Structure, it has helped me more because a lot of the questions that Yaeger uses (which is in the Wily book) I never saw in Becker. I need the most help on finance and cost accounting, though. i am hoping i can pull it off before friday!

    good luck to everybody!

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

Onamission I took BEC last window and I was using Becker, Wiley and Yaeger Cram. I passed BEC because of Yaeger. There are similar questions that have the same concept in Wiley than Becker. Memorize the formulas if you have time. These will give you extra points that will help you pass the exam.

    BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
FAR 11/30/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard) Thanks GOD! I'm DONE

    Onamission,

I just got out of BEC at 3:00 pm today. As you are doing, I used Becker. Yes, there were some questions out of left field, but there always is on these exams. Don't let it get you frustrated. Remember, the examiners are testing our ability to handle stress and unexpected situations, as well. “Pretest”. Remember that.

Becker was probably as good as any other material. Becker's software is the bomb, so I am happy to be using them. I did pick up Wiley 2010 also, for IT and supplemental tidbits. Becker did much better for variances, and IT on the exam was more inline to what Becker focused on.

I don't know if I passed or not, but I gave it hell, boy! Just like the other two exams I have passed, FAR and AUD, time was an issue and I essentially ran out near the end. I had 18 minutes and like 12 questions, with about 6 others marked.

I suggest to read on concepts you are not totally familiar with. And without divulging too much info, know all your formulas. Someone on this site had a “cheat sheet” with all of the formulas. Try to find it and write in your own notes and comments. I can send you mine if you want. PM me if you do…but just a warning, it's messy!!

    leebird,

I am planning to study BEC next. I don't see PM on here anymore. Are you on Facebook or do you have a website?
You can find me at “Allyson O'Steen Scott” on Facebook. I'd love to see your notes on formulas.

Follow that link and near the bottom you will see “Dale's Cheat Sheet” or something to that effect.

I downloaded, printed, and make me own notes. You can do the same. Really helped me out on the exam!!

Becker will absolutely drill you on variances if you let it…and Dale should be selling his cheat sheet. That thing was amazing for me while I was studying the materials.

    REG 97 FAR 91 BEC…7/10 AUD…8/12
