Today 11/27 I scheduled BEC for 1/17/12. Is this enough time? I can devote approximately 8-10 hours Sat-Sunday and 1-2 hours M-F.

Second question. I am thinking about Roger Cram for BEC as a supplement, does it have videos? thats all I am looking for. Dont have any of the Roger books, I am using exam matrix. Is the Roger cram ok if purchased seperately i.e. I dont have any other Roger materials.

I think that is more than enough time for BEC. I studied about 5 weeks (about 80 hours total) and passed without a problem. As for Roger CRAM, I think that's 8 hours of video lecture and companion books. I've heard good things about Roger.

    Good luck!

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

I gave myself only 4 weeks and I have my exam tomorrow. Just following Becker.

You're giving yourself plenty of time for BEC.

Also, I am a huge proponent for Roger's Crams. I am currently doing BEC and think I passed REG because I used it. I'm thinking this because I tried to save money and not get it for AUD and failed miserably. If you do his online version, you get instant access to the videos. They also ship you a book so you can follow along.

I just finished watching the video on variances and in 30 minutes he explained it better than my cost accounting instructor did. Now the equations I memorized make actual sense!

I just took BEC today. I barely finished my exam on time. It timed out while correcting last spelling in third writing simulation. Simulations were easy. I found all my testlets to take 45 mins. They became progressively hard. Especially third one I found few questions not covered in Becker. I am guessing I should pass.

    Hope this helps.

Smuppane – your scores are amazing, you are my cpaexam idol. What program did you use? Reg was easy for me, BEC is killing me. How hard is it, does one of the crams help?

I am using Becker. I did take BEC today.

I barely finished exam on time. Testlets became harder progressively. Writing simulations were easy. Third testlet had few questions not covered in Becker. I felt BEC was tough out of all. But I should pass I guess.

Not to scare you. Actually testlets getting harder progressively is a good sign. Means I did well on first two testlets. So you will be fine with Becker.
