How much time did you save up for the BEC sims (writing tasks) on the actual exam? Was it sufficient?

I left an 1.5 hours. It was sufficient and gave me time to read back through my writings a couple of times. Comcast was drilling on the outside of my test wall for the entire 1.5 hours and I could hear everything even with my headphones on so without that distraction you could probably do it in an hour if you're comfortable enough with all the MCQ material.

I would say an hour cuz it takes time to understand and digest all the info provided and then forming your ideas in structured sentences and paragraphs also takes time.

    OK, thanks.

Becker recommends 45 min. I will try to have 75-60 minutes for it.

50 minutes is what I spent on it. You know the topic or you don't. I wouldn't spend more than 1 hr unless you have a lot of trouble writing in general. The mcq is 85% of your score.

    FAR - 08/08/14 - 93
    BEC - 08/28/14 - 95
    REG - 10/11/14 - 96
    AUD - 11/30/14 - 99

I went it with an hour and 25 minutes and used an hour. It was more than enough. It's either you know what to write or you don't. I tried to BS as much info as I could. Thought about it for a little. Proofread it and moved on. My WC were pretty straight forward except the last one was a weird topic so I did my best and hopefully it's the one that gets thrown out.

Had 1 hr 30 mins left. Probably should have spent more time on the MCQ as I finished the sims and proof reading with over 30 mins to spare.

Is the research tool available on the BEC written communication questions as it is on sims or no?

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

The research too is not available, but at least on my test, it wouldn't have helped anyway.

Update – 60 min was not sufficient for me, would have needed 75 minutes to be confident on the writing part. This was the main mistake I did on the BEC exam today.
