Hey Guys,

I am taking BEC in a week and want to know if there is any advice that could benefit me in the exam such as trends or things you didn’t expect

I was so darn close when I took it but the week before:

1. Made flashcards of all formulas (I had about 50. There is a good thread if you search; someone put together a list)

2. Committed them to short-term memory the night before exam

3. Helped me so much because it helps with all areas of the exam

Thank you! I typed all the equations in Word already so I have a printed version. What about the Written Communications? I have only taken AUD but I see somers they ask about REG for eg which I have no knowledge of topics like that.

In my experience, there's not much you can do to prepare for the Written Communications other than being familiar with the memo format expected.

One piece of advice I would give is to look over all 3 of them before starting to write–it should be easy to notice which one is the pre-test. I made the mistake of writing a long, detailed essay about the first topic I saw which I quickly realized was the pre-test question after I viewed the others. I definitely could have used the time I put into the pre-test essay on the ones that will actually count.
