    Hey Everyone,

I recently took the CPA exam and failed BEC. I took the Becker course and study my butt off. But I ended up failing. I was wondering for those who took Yeager, what did you think about the software? Did it improve your grade dramatically?

Well.. I will say Becker is horrible with IS information in their book.. I'd hope they would change that soon. I was told Wiley was a good resource for IS information. And the FInal Review for Becker is excellent for all of the other info! Really, it is! Also, when looking at the formulas you don't have to remember them verbatim.. remember in a way that works for you. I noticed Becker mixes things up, like they will talk about 1, 2, 3, then go in to details in the order of 3, 1, 2.. like why don't they stay in the same order? I would remember better and save a lot of time if they kept material in the same order… just saying..

I actually passed BEC twice using becker and as time consuming as it is.. if you do every single homework problem (including the optionals) until you get them all right and fully review the extra information on IT then you should be able to pass it. I'll say that from personal experience BEC is the one test you should be able to pass just by studying and experience isn't as important as it might be in some other exams.. for example.. 1 year of audit experience makes a huge difference in my opinion. Good luck.
