I am studying BEC using the Becker Review and thought it may be helpful if a few of us studied the same material at the same time. My thoughts were that we could help each other understand some of the material that is hard to grasp. One person may have a good understanding of something and may be able to explain it to the rest of us. This is the first time I have studied for the CPA exam. I am about to start chapter 3 and have I have read and worked chapters one and two.

If you are interested are have another suggestion please post.

Hi JCamp. How's the studying going? I sit for BEC on 8/23/11. When have you scheduled your BEC exam?

I've already covered all of BEC. Now I'm doing all the simulations. The simulations are tough because they need to take only 15 minutes each and I find myself consistently going over the time. I found what helps is to type up the beginning paragraph with the purpose of the correspondence then below that typing up in outline form the body of what I what to cover. Once I type up my full thoughts I delete the outline form. This way I put my thoughts down and I don't forget to cover an area I meant to. Time is still the concern though. Any ideas on how to shorten it?

Any other CPAers find ways to shorten their time doing the simulations?
