Any tips/advice/etc?

I’m excited to start this section after studying for FAR, but I know it’ll have its difficulties as well(: My plan is to do two chapters a week. I’m primarily using Becker, but will supplement it with Wiley Testbank.

Go you for getting on the study train! Hope you had a few good days of fun and rest. Becker should prepare you just fine with calculations. That first chapter with the internal control stuff is very important…and annoying. 🙂 I used Wiley 2011, but there were only ~600 questions and I felt they were sooooo similar to the questions on Becker. But the IT questions were different I suppose. It's hard to prepare for IT, it's the only section I got comparable on…so don't beat yourself up too much if you find it out of this world lol. I know a lot of people don't like Becker for BEC, but I thought it was decent. They can't help if the test is so random, so it's best to know what's in Becker like the back of your hand.

Thank you!! I had great few days off, but now I'm trying to get back in the study mode. It's so hard, but has to be done!! How does it feel to not study?? Hope we get good news this week:!)

If you are using Becker 2011 material… BEC hardest chapters are 3 and 5… First time I studied, it took me 3 weeks to understand chapter 3… The thing with BEC… Is that it has both… Cost Accounting and Managerial Accounting; one is GAAP and the other one NOT GAAP. and it gets kind of tricky… I took BEC May 29 and I think it will be another repeat! Although I did go in the testing center very confident and knew the material to the point that I could do a Monologue. But I ended up guessing a lot of MC… and I couldn't finish one of my WC.

Let see how it goes.

Started BEC this week as well! After taking 2 Cost Accounting classes in college, along with Managerial, that stuff STILL doesn't stick with me, and I LOATHE it. I'd rather do all the theory in the world than those calculations.

STOPPP saying that! It's what everyone in my life is telling me, but you guys as fellow studiers should understand…the material in each section is SO different that nailing one has little bearing on the others. I knew auditing was my strong point, I LOVE auditing and it makes sense to me. Tax? Have 0 experience with. Learned it all from Becker within the past month. I started with my easiest section and got a nice pat on the back for myself but other than that I don't think it's really indicative of anything other than that perhaps I found study method that worked for me :/

But I DO appreciate the supportive words, thank you!
