    Hi all,

I am beginning my CPA quest and am hoping to have two down before the exam change in April. I figured, in no way shape or form I want to do simulations on BEC so that is where my journey begins. I plan on using Wiley CPA for my review materials and may supplement with BEC MCQs? My questions are, how long should one study for BEC and for those who have already passed and those going to pass any study tricks or tips to lend out?

    Thank you in advance!

    Regards,
    Daniel

I truly BEC is better crammed so I give it 4 weeks, working full-time. Shortest exam and least amount of material, at least according to Roger. Don't get his review for this section (maybe AUD). Surprisingly, I did use WTB for BEC and thought it was very helpful. But buy NINJA too, it's so cheap. Everything is FAIR game on that exam bc it is so short. Good luck.

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)
    FAR 72 (4/2/15); 83 (7/11/16)
    REG 52 (4/28/15)
    AUD (9/9/16)

I'm in the same boat. I started BEC this past weekend and am also using CPAexcel. I also purchased the Suprfast CPA bundle (mostly for audio notes). Does anyone have experience with both Ninja and Superfast CPA? Comparisons perhaps? I just found this site so I may return and get Ninja instead.

Thank you, everyone, for the replies.I will aim to spend 15 hours a week with Wiley going over the lectures and then practice the MCQs. Any tips on how to approach the MCQs? Also, does anyone have any mnemonics that they found to be helpful for BEC?

I spent 60 hours on Ninja MCQ and Sims. I studied about 10 hours outside of Ninja MCQ/Sims (AICPA practice exam, previously released questions, looking up source information, reviewing old notes). I made sure to get to the review phase and I feel like that's what saved me.
