    Hi, All!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

I am in my final days of review. After reflecting on the last few weeks, I am happy at my progress. Basically, every topic in this little book has been my nemesis. I never like any of this type of accounting, economics, IT, etc. However, I have plugged away and forced myself to study the material that has caused me headaches and literally, an upset stomach.

There are still a couple of topics that still get me flustered. I will continue to go over those parts, and, on test day, I hope that I will have enough knowledge to get this section behind me forever!

There is one week left in this testing window, and I am sure a lot of us will be testing in it. If not BEC, another section.

I wish you all luck and a happy last cram!

    -J

Taking BEC tomorrow. Last one needed.

I know what you mean – the topics are pretty varied so just keep working MCQ's to practice finding what the question asks and how to use the information given most efficiently. This is one of the shorter exams so time management is extremely important, especially considering how much time some of the variance and cost accounting questions can suck up. You want to leave yourself at least a half-hour to 45 minutes for the written portion (if you struggle with that stuff then closer to 45-60).

Just realize that there are only so many of those they can put in there; you're going to get your fair share of Governance and IT quickies so hang in there. Even the Economics content is mostly theory so like Brolinto says “Don't memorize this stuff, just think it through and understand the relationships.”

Good luck – we can do it!

The written portion is a great opportunity to get some easy points to make up for any MCQs you may have been stumped by, so make sure you have a base knowledge of the topics they could ask you to write about (in the broadest sense). As for the 72 MCQs, there are so many topics they can throw at you that I agree with Smeech. Understand the relationships, know the formulas, and just memorize the definitions. It's a different beast from the other 3 exams, but you can totally nail it. Just of nonstop questions over the next week will be your saving grace. You've got this!! You're in my prayers 🙂
