    Hi,

My exam is end of July. I only have a week and half to do it. And I’m still read the lecture for chapter 5. I finished passmaster for previous chapters(chapter 1-4) with average 70-75%. I felt like I’m behind. I actually took BEC back then 2010, and felt like I need to know great detail of the text book in order to pass the exam. At this point, what is the most valuable things to do? I felt like I don’t have enough time to go back and read those chapters anymore especially i read slow. And I still have Wiley test bank that I only did one testlet.

    Thank you!

I would do as many M/C as possible, review your notes everyday, and hit on your weakest areas….

    BEC - 60, 71, 79
    AUD - 73, 66, 87!!!!! Yes! I am done!
    REG - 74, 76
    FAR - 75

Yaeger Review for all except my last AUD score (Roger)!

I can only speak from my FAR process at this point, but my exam is in a week and reading the text/taking notes at this stage of the game has helped me to improve my understanding and perform much better on the homework MCQ. It's helping me to reinforce what I already know and clarify some things that a brief overview during a lecture left foggy. Of course I should mention that I'm using Becker, not the Wiley text, so take this for what it's worth. Good luck to you!

    FAR 07/27/11 - 87
    AUD 10/01/11 - 85
    BEC 11/15/11 - 87
    REG 01/03/12 - 92

I think for BEC I would hammer out as many MCQ as possible, and make sure you understand why you got the questions wrong. It'll help pick up the little tidbits that you might need for the exam. With MCQ, you are exposing yourself to everything that could be on the exam and working solutions so that if you see a problem like that on the exam you will know how to answer. Every time I get a MCQ wrong, I tell myself that it will be the last time I get a question like that wrong because im going to understand why i got it wrong. For me it doesnt matter what percentage I get wrong, as long as Im getting them wrong for different reasons and picking up new info along the way. If you've got Wiley test bank, do a bunch of 30 MCQ testlets. It'll give you different exposure to what you've already seen in Becker. Dont be surprised if you score lower in Wiley, I've heard the questions can be more detailed than Becker.

I haven't read the book for any of my exams. When I say I haven't read the book I mean I haven't sat down and went through page after page reading. Thought it was a waste of time. I listen to lectures, take notes and if they're is something I want clarity on then I read that section of the book.

    BEC-84

    REG-89

I “read through” (aka skim) the text when I make flashcards, and I've found that is enough for me to feel comfortable with the it. That being said, I often google topics if I don't feel comfortable with them based on the Becker text, and I think that is key. If you're uncomfortable with a topic, go find some other source to learn it from — having the information from two different sources makes it stick out more and (hopefully) click in your mind.

    REG -- October 3!!
    FAR -- Pass
    BEC -- Pass
    AUD -- Pass

I am not sure nailing every single detail is practical or even helpful. I think it is better to practice practice practice. BEC is the “everything but the…” section of the exam. I know there were several questions from outer space on my exam…I think it is impossible to be prepared for everything, but it is possible to pass if you are well prepared for most things. In addition to Becker, Cpareviewforfree.com and Jeff's NINJA notes certainly helped me PASS!

    BEC: 79 - April 2011
    FAR: 78 - May 2011
    AUD: 81 - May 2012
    REG: 79 - October 2012
    Ethics: Passed - March 2013
    I am finally DONE!

Just make sure you know the ancillary material for BEC and REG. This wasn't as important for the other 2 exams.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

Thanks everyone's inputs. I'll do as much MCs as possible and read ancillary material as well in the last few days.
