Thanks for the REG tip cyn. I use 2011 Becker and I've skipped always ancillary material for AUD and FAR. I'll make sure I'll read it for REG 🙂 Do you think I have to read it for BEC?

    Btw, Congrats Shay and Cyn!

All those 2011 ancillary material is part of regular study material in 2012. There is NO ancillary material in 2012. Do read everything in BEC I havnt looked in REG yet. But I expect tbe same

If you have 2011 ED for Becker Regulation then definitely look into ancillary material. If you read the posts in the Regulation forum, you will see that most questions come from ancillary material. I can't emphasize that enough guys! I swear I had about 3 calculations in Regulation. I spent so much time on Chapter 3, trying to grasp the more difficult material, but I don't think you will see those types of computations unless you are doing really good (since it's adaptive). For example, learn everything that Becker doesn't mention as a pass key. I swear it was like as if everything I studied was not on the exam. I barely skimmed the ancillary.

As for BEC, I think its also important to study the ancillary material. I got more theory questions than computations. And the computations were really hard…so it depends on the exam, however, if you get problems wrong, research the problem. Read, Read, Read!!1

And thanks guys! so glad it's over. Took me 15 months to pass this and I'm beyond excited. Now I dont know what to do with myself. I feel guilty watching TV…haha! Like, I should be studying or something!!

There is no ancillary material in 2012 in all section. Whatever was ancillary material in 2011ed, is part of regular study material in 2012. basically its everything.

I finally decided to study for REG. Even AUD is easier I just like Tax.

anyways Good luck in your life & 15 months is LONG time..I planing to finish these in next few months hopefully b/c life kind a sucks specially in summer 🙁

Yeah, it's good that Becker did that. The ancillary material was important on the exam. Very rare calculations. And yes, 15 months was a very LOOOOOONG time. Work kept me busy so I couldn't do both at times. I'm just glad I didn't have to retake anything. If you can knock it out by summer then do that…..Trust, you dont' want to drag it out! especially if you start working. That makes it just as hard.

And thanks! I'm excited. Still need to take Ethics but I'm happy it's over! I don't think ethics will be hard considering it's open book!! whooohooo! If only all exams were like that. Thank you and good luck!!
