hiya! thanks for the luck…I just returned from the exam…I have good news and bad news….

Exam was A LOT easier, compare to the material I studied.when I say easier, I don't mean, I knew all 24 questions in each testlet. There were 5 questions each testlet that I had to guess, others were soooo easyyyy!!! that I didnt even needed a calculator after all…I don't know, if its bad news, all of testlet were easy. I don't know, if I was doing bad, or is that I was well prepared for the exam, that I thought easy for me.

On Thursday, I stopped studying and just relaxed for the exam next day. Because I know, my brain need some rest, and dont need t burn out. When I got home, I realized 3 questions I thought I was right, but not.

Whats the point of experimental question? are they suppose to be easy?

Overall I think this was the easier exam I took!!!!. Also I dont work, no school, so thats my situation. When people say exam hard, thats because they have jobs, kids, age makes a difference. NONE of these people will tell you their lifestyle. so I wanted to let you know, Exam was easy SOO EASY, because I studied, as I mentioned about my lifestyle (above)

All I can say study the easy material, don't go in-debt into materials. Exam was little tricky too. I am a IT person, I struggle with that part.

WC was easy too, because I asked me about materials in BEC. dont have to know REG, FAR, AUD…Plain BEC stuff.

If the questions I guessed where experimental, then I am good, if not, than I would need points from the WC for help. I wrote 3.5 lines each paragraph. One of them, I wrote short, because I dont know how to write much. I knew the answer, I just didnt know how to

I think, if I get 6 wrong on each testlet, thats 18/24, am I in good shape?

whoooohoo! You sound very confident. That's good 🙂 I'm pretty sure you passed. You are very lucky you dont work. I work full time so it's hard to find time to study. Would you say the exam was easier than Becker Exam #1? I didn't even do the becker #2 exam. I started, but thought to myself “there is no way the exam will be this hard” so I gave up after the first testlet. I got a 70% on the first testlet and then a 66% on the second. Do you think it was more Becker or Wiley? I'm glad you didn't get stuck with a whole bunch of calculations. That's my major concern. I plan on studying a total of 90 hours from now till exam day (thursday).

The WC is more about your writing ability. I'm not sure why they include it, but it's good for us because it's easy points. I think it would be hard for those who use English as a second language.

oh, and I'm not sure how they grade so I wouldn't be able to tell you if you missed 6 you would pass. MCs are worth 85% of your grade but I think that each questioned is weighed also. I'm sure you passed!! I belive they curve though 🙂

Shay, your exam experience sounds a lot like mine. I was way overprepared (which was a good thing). I didn't know a few answers either, but ended up with an 88. You'll probably see yourself with the same score!

BEC: (4/2012) 88

REG: (8/2012) 82

I'm taking BEC on 5/30 and I hope i have your same experience Shay of being EASY….I'm so struggling with so many formulas and how to keep them all straight. Variances are also kicking my butt!!! I'm using Becker and not 100% thrilled with the way they did this section like the other 3 parts. I'm flipping out actually cuz it's so overwhelming and it's not stuff that I use or have seen since college (over 10 yrs).

any advice on how to keep all the formulas straight or just plain tips on the more difficult calculations? Honestly, i feel this section harder than the other 3. Also, when i took the Becker practice exam #1, I only had like 25 mins to do the WC. I was flying typing away. I was taking way to long on the MC. I'd hate to not have enough time on the WC when those should be easy points!!! I'm so frustrated….i know i'm singing to the choir…LOL

@cyn637 – hope you are moving along….this is my last section like you as well, so I know the feeling of just wanting this to be over!!! This is going to be a killer weekend. I took off of work this week to study and don't feel prepared at all. So many little things to remember and keep track of….I know FAR is huge and a ton of material; but debits=credits no matter what!

@cyn637 I used becker 2012 books, videos, HW problems and Exam 1 and did look over exam 2. I know exam 2 is harder, thats why I just over the question & answer at the same time.

I used Wiley questions, did not read the book, (only few pages) and I felt I WAS WASTE OF TIME!!!. Throw away all WILEY STUFF right now!!

I don't know, why people here say Wiley is good supplement. Its a good supplement if you want to understand he whole BEC, but If you want to just pass BEC. BECKER IS THE BEST!!..Not a single question came from Wiley. Just do exam # 1. and do all MCQ in Becker. Stop visiting this forum after today. Stay focus on exam. stop studying on mid-Thursday, because you should give your brain some rest. Don't try to do focus study Thursday night, because that info will be in your head, and all the other stuff u been learning past month, you will be deleted..Questions are random.

@keelydare1..I was looking for you, and glad you read my post. Is that how you felt? I'm not saying that I got all 24 questions correct, but 18 of those question were like already in my head, and I was like “you seriously, this is the question” but now I am worried, because those 3 EASY QUESTIONS ARE KILLING mee..I feel really dumb. they were simple as to add or subtract. guess because I was overconfidence during exam. So do you think, hard questions are more likely experimental, compare to easy ones??

All the computation problems were easy for me from testlet 1,2,3..Only computation question I got wrongs, where I suppose to subtract, but added.. it was EASIEST question in the whole exam. I also spend a lot of time going in-dept into questions and I forgot the easiest stuff. exam is easy period..If you dont study and take my advice as easy, then it will be hard for you. Yoou have to be prepared and less burned out. don't assume “oh this is easy formula, and they will never ask that?”

Thanks for the response Shay! I had seen that post you had with the variances and I does help. My problem is disecting the question and applying the correct numbers to the variance formula. I get confused with the way some of the questions present the info so I know that's one of my weaknesses. In the Becker practice exam #1, i got a 66. and if the practice exam #2 is harder, i don't want to even think what i'll get! I'm going to continue to do MCQ throughout and progress tests to keep practicing. Thanks for your input! and keep us posted on how you score!

AQP==Acutal Quanity purchased

A.P=Actual Price

S.P=Standard price

Budgeted #s is same Standard #s..

or trying making up your own, whatever is easier for you, you if you have to recall, it will be easy for you.

You have calmed my fears. I PRAY that my exam is similiar to yours. I know this blog thing is sometimes really scary to read….. Yea its like a week before the results. From now on, whenever someone say exam was hard, I wanna know how man annoying kids they have + jobs hrs. I was honest to say it was easy, because so & so reason.

I started using Wiley, bcuz these people started freaking about Becker not preparing. Wiley is $65 and where Becker is like $1000+. So there is the logical. I think on Tuesday I stopped visiting this forum, highly focus on review and 3pm on thursday I closed the book. When to store, did some errands and. Friday 8am for 30 mins I did review, which was total useless. I recommend you don't do that. My exam was 12.

Congratulations Shay!!!!!!!!! So happy for you!!!! I passed too!!!! Whooohooo!!! I am finally done!! This is surreal!!!! I can't believe it!!!! I can't stop crying. I got my life back!!!! Good luck with Reg and Aud. With Reg, if using BEcker 2011….read and re-read the ancillary material. Almost all my questions came from those sections…audit was super easy for me because of my job so I didnt really have to study.
