Rescheduling to an earlier date?

    Hey all,

Quick question – has anyone rescheduled the Exam for an EARLIER date than originally scheduled? I just started in public accounting and wanted to give myself a good 6 weeks of studying to make up for the long hours of work while studying. However, I’m already about halfway through the material, and I’ve read that it normally isn’t good to take more than 2 months to study one section, since you tend to forget things learned early on. I need to decide by next thursday whether or not it’s a good idea, in order to reschedule for free…..I also don’t want to fall for the “Oh you’ll be fine, BEC is the easiest” comments that most CPAs like to make…

I rescheduled my FAR exam a week earlier than it was for originally. I decided I wanted to take it before I got super busy with other things. I got an 83, so as long as you're prepared, it's fine.

    REG - 76 (7/13)
    FAR - 83 (8/13)
    BEC - 87 (10/13)
    AUD - 84 (1/14)

I would just make sure you have at least two weeks left for review and you should be fine.

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

    DONE!!!! CA Candidate
    Beat the 12/31/13 clock!

I moved REG up. Had it for 1/15, moved to 1/2. Over winter break I went through material waaayyy faster than I anticipated. Haven't gotten a result but I didn't feel unprepared.

As posts above have said, as long as you've had time to prepare and do final review, you should be good.

I first started studying at late June/early July. I wasn't sure how much time I needed so I planned to give myself as much time as possible and scheduled my first exam for early October.

Then in early/mid August, I got so much studying done that I thought I might lose concentration studying the same thing over and over for another month and half so I moved my test to late August. Ended up passing my exam and ending up passing each other exam on my first try.

Then a year later, got my license. 🙂

Yep! I did after I realized I didn't need extra time for BEC.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

I moved AUD up a week. Was studying it during a week's vacation and had it scheduled for the week after I got home, but realized there was no point in waiting as I wouldn't get much studying done once I was back at work. So I moved it to the day after arriving home and passed. 🙂
