    Hey Guys,

I have the BEC exam on Feb 1 and I am struggling with understanding all of the cost accounting equations and methodology. Also, I’m not quite sure on how to study for the SIMS for BEC. Any advice on any of these would be greatly appreciated!

For me, it helps to find alternative material outside of my review course for the topics I am struggling to understand. Youtube and Investopedia are great resources, recommend both. For SIMs, check out the AICPA practice test and finish all of the ones in your review course, and make sure you understand the writing response template. Links below for reference.

I agree with JR. Knowing why you are doing something a given way is very helpful for some of the more dense material in these exams. Sometimes it's about hearing it explained in a way that resonates with you, not just trying to memorize the formulas. Watch a few videos from alternate sources until you find something that clicks.
