Hey guys, looking for some advice on how to prepare for written communication problems. I’m a pretty good writer, just not sure about how I should approach the prompts or break down the process. Also, what authoritative literature is available during the exam? Thanks.

There’s no authoritative literature provided for BEC but you do get the formulas for SIMs. As far as written communication, if you do a search on the forum you’ll find some solid templates here to use I’ll try to find what I posted previously but as long as you have correct grammar and use the correct buzz words relating to the topic you’re good. I worried a little about it but didn’t practice any because I didn’t think any practice grading would provide feedback. The good thing is it’s at the end so after the whole test you’ve gone through MCQs and SIMs you’ll likely have language to throw around at your disposal from the exam itself. Oh and study COSO and IT

There are multiple threads that show the proper format for an essay. I followed this:

Intro (with 3 main points addressing WC question)
    Body paragraph
    Body paragraph 2
    Body paragraph 3
    Conclusion (reiterate main points)

^this format is very standardized. This is just what I remember from schooling and looking at other threads. Good luck!
