BEC is by far the WORST section for me. I practiced the homework questions and the progress tests and did pretty well the second time around. But the final exams were a nightmare!!! OMG I feel so discouraged. It was insanity! Is it purposely made that much harder? OMG, i am going to flunk the real test. i got a 60 my first time taking it, but then I didn’t even study that hard at all for it. However, I did study a lot more this time around and felt good until I took the practice exams. Does anyone else had this experience?

What tests did you take? The Becker ones are pretty rediculous. I didn't even bother averaging my score on the 2nd Becker test but if I had to ballpark it, I would put it around the low 60's. I just got back from the real test about a hour ago and it was much easier than Becker. Don't pay attention to your Becker score, it isn't important. Just use it to understand your weaknesses.

I found the Wiley book test to be more realistic.

HI rafferty85,

I took the Becker practice exams. The ones that from the section, “review before the exam”. The first one I averaged probably 60s. The second test…I think I totally bombed it. I took BEC today as well. 😉 I didn't feel too good on the first 5 questions of the first testlet. But the 2nd and 3rd was better. Not sure if that is a good or bad sign but it's one of those things where you just never walk out of a CPA exam feeling confident like you passed! I am freaking out about it. The questions on the real test was easier than the Becker practice tests but some were kinda' hard. I didin't even see some of those from the Becker homework questions. I just want a 75. BEC is the hardest section for me!

Yes BECKER practice exams are tough. I don't think i ever received a passing score on a practice exam, yet have gotton above 80's on all my real exams so far.

And if you got 60 on BEC without studying at all, I'm positive you'll pass this time.
