    1. Gray hair! What the heck? I have blonde/red/brown hair and I see gray hairs poking through! I am too young for this…

    2. My cat is getting fat! All I do is study and so I don’t have time to play with Little Man… poor baby is getting fat! I feel as though I am neglecting him and my poor husband… so glad to be almost done with this evil test!

    3. My friends don’t invite me anywhere anymore… when I ask them about it, they say, “oh, well, we just figured you’d be studying…” geez…

I completely know where you are coming from, except I don't have a cat and my husband is getting fat. I use a bottle of hair dye a month. I do not have any “real” friends anymore. They are all virtual. I have noticed that the virtual friends are far more supportive so that's a good thing!

My back yard looks like crap….now that I am done, I can go back to something relaxing….gardening.

@chromatic – I have some 5′ trees growing in my azalea bed and some really nasty stickers, if gardening relaxes you, feel free to come on over and relax to your hearts content!

I agree… my virtual friends are way more supportive! I will admit that I have been stalking this forum for the past year and have only posted a few times, but it sure is nice to see that I am not the only one going through this torture! I like to ask a lot of questions but have held back because you guys might think I am annoying… in fact, my husband often tells me to “put on the safety!” LOL

When I am in the office studying, Little Man comes in and meows and touches my arm letting me know he wants to play. Sometimes he will bring his toy in to remind me that I am neglecting him. I feel so bad!

I asked my husband today if he feels neglected and he said “no.” He actually likes his alone time… I guess I should be lucky. But I do miss my friends and feel as though they may not be there when I am done with these tests. Oh well… I will have to continue to “stalk” this forum when I am done because you guys seem to be here no matter what!

Well, I do love cats! I have only one and he's more than enough. I don't have kids, so he pretty much is it. If I won the lottery or came into a lot of money, I would definitely quit my job and volunteer full-time with the local animal shelters. I have a big heart when it comes to animals, especially baby animals.

I've been around, just studying for BEC – May 26th is the big day. I have noticed that the Wiley online test bank has a lot of questions that have really thrown me off! I have Becker 2011 and am doing well on those questions, but once I switch over to Wiley, I get frustrated because I see things that aren't covered in Becker. UGH!

Catlovergirl, I agree w/ Wiley vs. Becker. I used Becker on the 1st go round. I felt like for Audit it prepared me 100%. I got lucky on Reg b/c I've been doing taxes for 8 years so that's what got me my passing score. BEC is such a wild card to me and I think that one I got lucky also.

But for FAR, I used Becker only and when I took it in January, there was a MAJOR disconnect. The questions were just different. Now that I'm using Wiley, it literally is making me sick b/c the questions are so similar compared to the exam. My experience may be different than others, but I wish I started with Wiley back in December/January for the first time.

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

    CPA Class of 2012 🙂

    @Mrs 300

I took FAR last October and found that there were a few questions similar to Becker. I was overwhelmed with the Wiley questions, but luckily I passed. I left one sim blank, bombed both research questions, and guessed on one sim. I also second-guessed myself on several questions and changed them to the wrong answer! Despite what anyone says, the ancillary material is very important – at least five questions were from that material.

Becker was more than adequate for AUD, but I bombed the sims there too. Two I know for sure were right, but the rest I had to guess on. I got Stronger on MCQs and Weaker on Simulations. Already knew that when I left the testing center. Luckily I passed that one too…

So, I just don't know what to think for BEC. I am getting all the Becker questions right, but some of the Wiley questions are way out there. Very frustrating and worrisome..

The one thing I can say about BEC was that the writing is a free 10 points. Honestly, I did not have a clue about 2 of the 3 topics and I took a position and just wrote the way the Becker tutorial advises you. I used only Becker and I struggled with BEC. I could NOT grasp the variance stuff, even up until exam day. I just hoped that I knew enough to pass. I probably got 50% of the variance questions correct on the exam.

There were some RANDOM questions out there that I had to flat out GUESS on. And I somehow passed. I didn't use the Wiley test bank back then so I'm sorry I'm not much help. My only advice on BEC is to focus on the stuff that you know and kick butt on the writing.

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

I want to get cats after this process is over.

The writing portion was actually my downfall. I didn't really know anything about the topics itself so I just wrote a bunch of stuff and tried to sound appropriate. I only got comparable on the writing portion.

    B 2/12 87
    A 11/11 90
    R 8/11 86
    F 5/12 88
