been studying BEC for couple weeks now, and i cant grasp all the econ and IT material…also it seems impossible to remember all the formulas…the formula questions are tough enough and then i come across questions that have tricks and things thrown in to make it even harder…im having enough trouble remembering all the formulas..do they need to trip me up even more! im having a hard time and do not feel confident at all even though i have 2 months still….very discouraging

Don't just stare at a page of formulas…use them — in problems. Work problems until your hand cramps and you run out of ink. Train your brain to think through the process and you'll build the “instinct” for which formula you need.

I feel your pain BEC was tough for me. Break it down to one or two

Formuals at a time and work the hell out of them. One session I spent the whole weekend

Just hand writing out the formulas untill it finally clicked. Don't give up you have plenty of time.

thanks guys. i made index cards for all the formulas so i can try and test myself on them. hopefully i start remembering them. if its a fairly simple one line question with 3 numbers involved i could usually remember or at least come very close. but when its a 3 paragraph question with 15 different dollar amounts and quantity amounts and a table of percentages for annuity due and ordinary annuity i pretty much panic…

for the IT and economic type theory non formula questions. im basically teaching myself this stuff as i do questions. is this basically the best way? im hoping that some of these concepts start to stick. been years since i have taken an economics class. and some of these it questions are things i never heard of.

I made posterboards of all the formulas and Hung it in my bedroom. Was first thing I saw when I woke up and last thing I saw before bed …I also spent time every morning speed writing every formula by memory, by exam time I could write them all down in 10 minutes. I'm not a genious its very doable!
