    BEC – I fear this section more than any other part. Please let me know what is a good study course ( I need video lectures) and guidance on how to approach. The material is scary. Please no marketing responses, just real true life experience. I study most on Sat and Sun about 6 hours each day and spend about 2 hours all other days. Is it as scary as it looks? How much time do I need?

    @katie – Thanks, it's nice to be admired 🙂

    To your point, I never said my way was the law…come to think of it, I never even talked about “my way” lol. I'm just voicing my opinion…you certainly don't have to agree with it haha. Study your little heart out, Katie; I believe in you! 🙂

    Quick question, if you passed all, why are you still on this site?

    Quick answer: On occasion I like to dole out little pearls of wisdom to those still taking the exam. On other occasions, I enjoy giving my opinion, regardless of how abrasive it may sound. Depends on what side of the bed I roll out of, I suppose 🙂 You, my friend, were on the abrasive opinion receiving end today.

    @baseball

    didn't you write in an earlier post that you spent 180 hours studying for REG and just barely passed? So 200 hours is a waste of time but 180 hours is fine even though you barely made it with a pass.

    BEC- 80
    REG- 68, 71, July
    AUD- 61 , 84
    FAR- -- 75 🙂

    @goodluck — I think you're thinking of someone else, champ, the only time I detailed out my study method for REG was in this thread:

    https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/reg-if-you-have-taken-this-part#post-119774

    Also, I studied for 4 weeks for REG lol. Not sure where you're getting 180 hours from; time to put down the magic mushrooms!

    @broadstreet, thanks for sharing your REG prep. I don't think I'll be able to hammer out as many MCQs and SIMs as you, but I'll definitely make the most of the next 3 weeks. I still have a few lectures to listen to and then I'll do MCQs until my eyes bleed! lol

    @baseball, I agree that a pass is a pass regardless if you walk away with a 75 or 99 but as it was said before, each person is unique and some may need more time/practice than others to get the material. You're entitled to your opinion but it's not fair to say that what broadstreet did was a waste if time. If that produces a passing score, then none of that time was a waste.

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

    Kasia, it sounds like a lot, in realty it's not, since I have been on this for 3 months, due to a personal time constraint. 6 weeks probably would have been enough under normal circumstances. I appreciate all respones, evren if some were abrasive. Totaly understand considering the pressure.

    @Baseballcpa

    I remember reading your post on your path to the CPA. It was an inspiring story of a person who overcame obstacles to make their dream a reality. That being said, I didn't think your comment of: ” 4,000 mcqs and 200 sims…lmao what a waste of time.” was conducive to the spirit of this forum. Your comment wasn't an opinion as much as it was a cutting remark.

    Everyone's path to the CPA is different. Yes, we would all like to get there fast(er), but in the end, it isn't how long it took or how many mcq's we did–all that matters is getting there.
