    Hi everyone. Just started by BEC journey today. Heard a lot of conflicting things about this topic. Very scared. Anyone have any advice? (oops I probably did not put this on BEC forum, sorry!)

    I took my BEC in noevember 2011 and failed with 62.I am currently using Gleim as that is the cheapest and not in the position to buy NINja. Does any one have BEC ninja who can lend me the book,will be a great help. I am struggling with costing and simulations, so would like to have few advice on that.

    One thing I have done on the 3 other parts is to do all of the homework questions with a notebook and write out all of the answers. It really helps the stuff sink in for me.

    I tried writing things out before, like notes. But it just takes way too much time and makes my hand hurt. I wrote in the other post that I cant even study 20 hours in a week. >< But I don't doubt that it is quite helpful.

    All I can do is nod and laugh… I had to switch to “Dr. Grip” pencils and pens because of the wrist pain. I plan to study 20 hrs. a week but I just go through the chapter, make my notes, and do the h.w. in as much time as it takes.

    I personally thought they were hard, but for me, I needed that. It really helped solidify the concepts. The mcq's seemed tougher than the actual exam. Good luck with BEC!!

    @Peanut,

    Sorry I missed ur post, I hope you found it.

    Sounds like your studying is going well!! Halfway there-woohoo!!!! Good luck.

    I don't presume to know what everyone feels is the hardest exam, but I guess I also thought BEC was the easiest exam to study for, take, pass, etc. For the people who feel it's a difficult section, what specific areas did you struggle with? I'm just curious…for me, REG was the bane of my existence…I actually throw up a little thinking about it.

    I think it's because the questions for BEC aren't straight forward in relation to what's in the study materials. It's kind of implied and you have to apply the knowledge base from studying to different kinds of questions that may not have been explicitly covered in the review course. The topics are kind of random. At least with, REG you know what you're being tested on. But I'm truly thankful to get REG over with. It definitely is ugly.

    I have about a week or two to go studying for BEC. I initially thought it would be a breeze, as I remember a lot of the basic concepts from college, but since then it has been a little rockier than I anticipated. There are way too many computational questions that I consider silly in both becker in wiley.

    of course, its up to me to learn the material enough so that i dont consider anything silly. but until then, ill consider it silly.

    unlike the other 3 parts, I have a bit of a time crunch to take this test since busy season really starts rolling, so as much as i would like more time to really learn this crap, i cant afford to put off taking the test.
