    So I thought I’d start a thread about restudying BEC. I have started reading B1 (Becker) and am about half-way through. I have also been slacking off by listening to music and doing laundry. Hey, gotta take breaks, right? My poochie is resting her head on my lap, enjoying her nap. I think she’s grinding her teeth, lol. Must be nice to be a dog. Get to sleep all day, get loved, get treats,… Anyways, I will read B1 the rest of the week (I am a slow reader) and then do some practice problems by next weekend. I should be getting the Wiley BEC book by Friday. More practice = Better chance of passing.

    @Givemesleep, what’s your study schedule like? Are you studying everything again? @Jokami, have you found out your score yet?

    Well, that’s all for now. I better get back to studying.

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 88!!! DONE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 76
    REG - 77

    never, never, never give up

    Jokami – I am on the BEC retake train too. Start from the beginning is my path. We will knock this one out. I figure If I can pass AUD and Reg first try then a BEC retake should be mine with 5 monster weeks of studying.

    Reg 11/15/2011 - 80
    Aud 02/28/2012 - 81
    Bec 05/31/2012 - 78
    Far 08/31/2012 - 83 Do you believe in Miracles, YES !!!

    Yes but REG and AUD are much easier tests that BEC…. At least for me. I think BEC is the hardest one of all. Our review professor told us that BEC was like the “trash can” of the exam… They put in all topics that could not be fitted in the other tests and that, that is why so volatile in its topics…

    I didn't study that much for REG and I got a 70, if I would have reviewed at least once I would have killed the test… On the other side of the spectrum I really put in quality time for BEC and I got a 62 and I knew I failed as soon as my exam finished me… But what's done is done… and this time BEC will lose.

    Hey all, just started my BEC journey today. Test date is May 8th. I finished reading Corporate Governance in Wiley tonight and got an 85% on the MC. Based on what I've read in this thread, I'm afraid of what lies ahead. I'm a poet and I didn't even know it.

    @bamer101, it was okay, just seemed longer than the other chapters. Took me a few days to read (read for probably 6 hours, I am a slow reader). I like doing the practice questions more. Are you using Becker?

    No, just using the Wiley 2012 book and test bank. I'm having major problems focusing haha.

    Zzzzz

    The worst part of this is to start all over again…. It is so annoying!

    @bamer101

    I have a hard time concentrating as well. I get distracted with the oxygen in the air; it is that bad! We just have to get it done!

    I get easily distracted too. Have to have silence but not too quiet. A fan, dishwasher running, etc. is fine.

    So I finished IT, thank goodness! I am starting on Financial Management tonight. 18 days until my retake, aaaaaaaaaaaah!

    Is it sad that I'd rather be studying BEC than doing tax returns?

    @Jokami – are you studying for REG at the same time as BEC?

    @Tootsie – I'm the same way; I have to have complete silence or white noise. I've found that I can also listen to music that doesn't have words like classical or jazz.

    @bamer101

    No… I have scheduled REG for May 25th. But I am only dedicating this time to BEC. REG is not as hard as I thought it would be… I one read the book once and came out with a 70. So I think my chances are good second time around.

    Now with BEC. This is a complete different story; I really don't know how to attack it this time. To be honest I haven't even started… I don't know how to begin… Uuuuurrrggggg

    I too am retaking BEC (April 2). I bought the Wiley test bank from Jeff and it is awesome. There is no reason to re-read the book…so I am going through the Ninja Flashcards for each section (which match up well with how Wiley test bank is split) then do ALL the questions for each section.

    I had already done the entire CPAExcel curriculum and am hoping this strategy will get me over the hump.

    Please let me know what approach yall are taking to your studies and if you think I should change something up?

    Let's get er done!! (Yes, I am from TX)

    Bec - 66, 71
    Aud - 73

    Going to enjoy some of the summer and retake both in August since my clock hasn't started ticking yet.

    Tootsie, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I find this a good place to vent since we're all pretty much in the same boat here…..

    I have really procrastinated lately. I'm finishing up IT right now and this section has been terribly dry. I mean, wow. Anyways, I'm getting about 78% on the MCQ so far; I hope that's a good thing?

    Hope you guys are getting along better than I.
