Well, I have to say …. I REALLY think I passed! 🙂 I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I’ve been going through the book and have been counting the number of problems I got right, which is quite a few. 🙂 Some of the questions were ridiculous/poorly worded and I guessed on them, probably were pretest questions. I only had about 30 minutes to do the memos. I finished all 3. I BSed them of course, but I made sure the grammar and spelling were okay. Oh and I couldn’t believe how dead the testing center was. This is going to suck waiting until February 3rd to see my score.

I think Becker prepared me well for this one. I studied hard, for at least 7 weeks. Like others have said, you really need to understand the concepts. I recommend reading the texts. Don’t just skim, actually read the material. Trust me, it will sink in.

    Good luck Q1 test takers!

@Yvonne570, yeah, I can't believe I remembered so many questions from BEC. I can only remember a couple from AUD.

I am taking REG in late February. Yuck…

Hey, did you take BEC today? How did you do??

    @Tootsie

I had the same feeling coming out of the exam hall.. hope I nail this one. There were a lot of calculations in testlet 2 and three.

I couldn't finish one of the writing (the topics were good) as I am not a fast typist and English is my second language wasted some time thinking of the right words . Came home really happy today. Also I got a separate room next to the admin @ prometeric, so my typing didn't disturb anyone..

Now on to my retake of REG the beast………

    FAR: 5/31/11 Passed
    AUD: 10/08/11 Passed
    BEC: 01/07/12 Passed
    REG: 11/27/11,2/27/12 5/12 passed
    Got my license on 10/17/12........

@atelery, REG will definitely be a challenge. And yes, I am taking some time to relax. Have an inventory count tomorrow night but am off on Monday. I've been off for 17 days so it's going to be weird going back to work, and my first busy season at that, lol.

@mmen, Hope you passed and good luck with REG!

Question for anyone – I retyped the To: and Re: at the beginning of the memos in the WC. Is that okay or will I get points taken away?

I'm not sure if I passed but I feel good about it. Way better than how I felt about REG, which is the one I failed. It's hard to tell because i'm not sure how they score the written comm. Some questions were so easy, most were medium okay, only a few were total guess. Hoping for the best to reduce it to 1 more to conquer.

    @ Yvonne

What is going to be your strategy for REG? I really feel like I need more practice with simulation, do you know of any material that can help me? Becker was not a big help with simulations, but was good every other topic.

I am going to be working all 6 days (8 to 8) in a week for the whole of Jan (Year end closing). I will have only three weekends in FEB to really drill through the Reg material.

All: any advise to tackle REG

I heard Wiley is an excellent supplement so will use that in addition to Becker. I have the promise, which hopefully will follow through considering that looking in the text – absolutely nothing at all in the test were some of the SIMS which were completely confusing as to the intent. Even acronyms used that were never brought up by Becker that threw me completely off.

Don't count on Feb 3. BEC is an exception and your score may be released in a subsequent score release. They sometimes have to review the Writing with a regular human being.

I just got back from taking BEC. I feel pretty good about it. There was only one question that I had no idea on. I nailed about 75% of the multiple choice and was 50-50 on the rest. I had an hour to do the written communications, so I feel really good on those.

Becker did a really good job preparing me. Like the original writer said, it is more important to actually read the material and soaking it in. I am personally not a fan of how the Becker promise is set up. It discourages people from reading. You can only get so much from doing multiple choice Qs.

Also, the Gleim free trial was a waste of time.
