MCQ topics not in the book?

I’m working through the BEC material, which is my first section I’ve studied for and am noticing there often topics asked about in the MCQs that are never even mentioned in the book (i.e. Functional vs. Systemic Interdependence). Has anyone else come across this and should these topics be something I look into more deeply?

Most courses are sure to hit the hot button items. I would not be overly concerned about it.

I wouldn’t worry about some mcq. I used Wiley Cpa Excel and saw many strange questions too. There are questions that were released by aicpa and those created by authors of the cpa software prep. Those that were released by aicpa normally will start with “aicpa” and those created by authors will be starting with something else. At least it’s like this in Wiley Cpa Excel. So I was just always looking at the name of question to see if I need to worry about it.
