Just took BEC and I felt like did ok. So far I have passed REG and failed FAR, but both of those tests I did not have time to complete them. In fact on FAR I left 3 SIMS completely blank! However, I did do “Stronger” than most on the MCQ – I guess because I spent so much time on them.
I have learned from my mistakes in the past and this time I gave myself a strict time limit on each testlet and gave myself an hour for the written communication. I felt that I did ok on the MCQs, but for the harder questions that required calculations and a lot of thought which I could not figure out right away I just guessed on. On my past tests I would sit there and figure them out – its a OCD thing I have. But I left myself enough time to complete the written communication, I was able to answer all the questions, and I think I answered them well, however, I did not have time to proof read any of them.
I hope the fact that I guessed on all the questions I normally would have tried to figure out benefited me in giving me more time for the SIMS. Although, SIMS on the BEC exam is only 15%, my learning curve is backwards. Basically I feel much better about this exam then I did about my other two, but I know its all relative and curved in comparison to everyone else. Just hoped I passed this one. Taking FAR again in November, not looking forward to that.
