Just not getting it – BEC Strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, analysis

    What can I do to better under this stuff

    I’m using Becker’s (company provided started to think it’s not the best)

    I know the formulas
    I know the concepts

    The questions just trick me up as you need to know a lot things about each formulas

    I know everything else

    Just not getting these

    Exams Wednesday

    Please help

    Doing them hurts my confidence and goal of ever being a CPA

    I don’t come this far to come this far.

    Cost was by far the hardest section in BEC for me. I am probably proficient in 75-80% of the Cost Material, which should be enough. However, I just gave up on the other 20% and “kind of” get it. It's just not worth me wasting my time to perform 8-10 step calculations.

    You need to write out the Formulas in your OWN handwriting, so you have a better chance at solving. Also, just crank through the MCQ's and at least try to understand how they are solved.

    I feel your pain – trust me. I really disliked some of the Cost section. But, I wrote out my formulas and practiced until my eyes bled. Hopefully my diligence pays off with a 75+ on the 10th. Goodluck!!
