Oh my gooooooooooooood. I’m in the middle of Module 42 of the Wiley book–Economics, Strategy, and Globalization. This is TORTURE. Economics to me is like watching paint dry!! Blaaaaaaaaaaahhhh….enough with the definitions already Cindy Simpson (Yaeger).

Anyone else feeling my pain?? ; )

BEC makes torture look like a walk in the park. It is, however, an excellent cure for insomnia. Mod 42 alone should come with a prescription that advises you not to operate heavy machinery after reading. I'm guessing with the right marketing behind it, BEC could put Ambien out of business.

I loved the economics and remembered almost all of what they (Becker) presented from the five economics classes I've taken.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

HAHAHA Kricket!!! You nailed it! That describes EXACTLY how I feel about this. I'd take any section of auditing over this dry, boring stuff anyday (yes, I can't believe that I just basically said that auditing is more “exciting” when compared to economics)…

and UCMCPA…I'm glad it makes sense to you. I took 2 econ courses in college- micro & macro–and dodged the rest. They were both a snoozefest. Of course, it didn't help that one of my professors constantly referred to supply and demand as “wine & cheese.”

@futurecpa12 Agreed! I thought the economics stuff was far more interesting than much of the material covered in AUD.

    FAR - 87 (7/19/13)
    BEC - 82 (8/29/13)
    REG - 86 (10/18/13)
    AUD - 91 (12/06/13)

@Notagain, “wine & cheese” lol. That would drive me nuts. I've taken both intro macro/micro, as well as intermediate for both of those and game theory applications.Loved it all.

Well, all I can say is that I wish I had the love for the material that you all do/did (with the exception of my fellow econ-hater Kricket–haha!). I'm sure that your love of it will make passing BEC that much easier for you than it will for me!

The worst part about BEC is the exam looks like it was compiled by a crazy man. None of the information flows together or has much to do with each other.
