Is 12 days enough?

Ok. So, I slacked off big time for BEC. I only have 12 days left until my exam. I “glanced” over chapters 1-3, but nothing really significant. Is 12 days enough? Is it doable? If so, anyone have a great suggestion to share? I currently use Becker.

    Thanks!

If you have the time each day, you can definitely do it. It will also require a good background in valuation, IT, supply chain, capital deployment, etc. But if you have decent overall business skills, you can do it. Not recommended, but you can do it. I found BEC to be by far the easiest section for me. But most people found AUD to be easy as hell, but I am struggling like a goose in a coyote's mouth. And most people get lowest scores on BEC, but I am the opposite. Go figure. You can do it, just keep a schedule, but in the work, and do as many practice problems as possible after reviewing all the text.

I just found out I passed the last part I needed this week. I would actually wait until about 12 days before the exams to start studying. I used GLEIM and would do 2 study units a day. There are 20 study units so this would take ten days. I would then use the last two days doing review and MCQ. It worked for me, but everyone is different….

    AUD: 83

    FAR: 88

    BEC: 88

    REG: 69, 83

If you are not working it is definitely possible… Youll probably need to be putting in 8+ hours a day though.

    FAR 11/22/10 - 81
    AUD 01/05/11 - 80
    BEC 05/17/11 - 81
    REG 08/29/11 - NTS #450xxxx

I did it in 2 weeks. I averaged about 6 hours per day for the 3 days my mother was in the hospital and on mother's day. I averaged about 13-14 hours the other days. I graduated in 12/05, but had been strong in finance, economics, and cost accounting back then so I got thru that material without too much trouble. I was weak on corporate governance and IT so those went quite a bit slower.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

I studied along the way, but I put in the vast majority of my studying in the last week before the exam. I'd say I had in about 25-30 hours and then I put in another 50 or 60 the last week. I think it is doable if that is all you do and have a background in the material.

    BEC - 77
    AUD - 83
    REG - 76
    FARS - 74, 84

Use Gleim software, it was the best $85 I've spent. For BEC there are like 2200 some questions. I had used Roger CPA Review prior to Gleim, but didn't pass BEC twice & believe me I studied! Three times a charms, I finally passed BEC with Gleim & all I did was go through all of the 2200 some questions in study mode once & then brush through it again in test mode choosing about 5-10 questions per section until I felt somewhat comfortable.

I feel SO MUCH relief! Persevere & you can do it!
