I’m about halfway through the Yaeger lectures for the IT module and I am just about to pull out my hair! Being fairly young I like to think I’m pretty familiar with some of the techie lingo but this is just absurd, are we really supposed to memorize all of these different things. Cindy said we should pretty much know anything in bold, which from what I can tell is almost the entire module! Any tips on how to study this, I feel like there would be just too many flashcards to deal with, maybe type all the words out on a page or two and just constantly review through my studies? Any tips would be appreciated

Sadly, yes! I have failed BEC twice and IT was a weakness both times. I've bit the bullet this time and made note cards and am using Jeff's NINJA notes. My note cards are about 2″ thick, but I'm trying to pass it this time. 🙂 Hope this helps!!

Jeff's Ninja notes saved me on IT. I read Wiley and Becker, reviewed notes, and still kept messing up when doing problems. I bought the Ninja notes and read thru the IT section 3 or 4 times, went thru all the Passmaster and Wiley test bank IT problems, and finally understood what I needed to know. I don't think I missed a single IT question on the exam.

Thanks – I definitely plan to get the NINJA notes, I've read a few people say that they really helped for IT… now I'm just holding out for a buy one get one sale (hint hint Jeff) so I can get REG too!

I've taken all of the exams except BEC, which I'm studying for now. I can say without a doubt that IT is my least favorite topic on any of these exams.

I agree that IT is confusing and hard to answer questions on…I too found Jeff's NINJA to be great for BEC! I passed and know the NINJA saved me on a few questions. I got them B1G1 and got REG for free!

The IT topics were definitely the hardest to study for on BEC.The questions were just so….random. I found that you just couldn't learn everything that could potentially be on the exam. I just did my best to learn as much as I could.

The other topics (cost accounting, economics) were a lot more straightforward.

I finally finished the IT videos using Yaeger last night. I didn't stop the video at all to take notes because she (Cindy) basically just read the chapter for me and told me to basically know everything in bold like the original poster stated. I plan to go back and read the chapter again and then take notes. I figured it would be easier to do that than to stop the video to write down every single thing she was reading, which was basically the entire chapter LOL

IT is a bore!!!

Ok, so I got through all of the MCQs in the Wiley book last night for IT. I didn't think it was too bad at all. I didn't keep track, but I would guess I got the majority of them correct. I'm 29 years old and have always been interested in computers and play around with them….I mean I'm not a computer geek, but a lot of the questions seemed to be common sense to me.
