How much time needed for BEC?

I am currently studying full-time for the cpa. I am wondering how much time I should need for BEC? I figure 5 weeks of full-time studying should be adequate. I’ve heard that BEC requires the least amount of studying from all 4 sections. Any thoughts/advice? Thanks!

Full-time, 4 weeks is good. Heck,, 3.5 would be if you don't slack off.

Make sure your study time counts.

    FAR - 83 - 05/23/2011
    BEC - 85 - 07/02/2011
    AUD - 79 - 08/13/2011
    REG - scheduled Oct 10

    Lovexly,

What would you recommend for FAR in terms of # of weeks? I was originally going to use this time for FAR but I think the 5 weeks will be better served for BEC, as my testing window ends right after that. I figure 6-7 weeks is ideal for FAR? Thanks!

For FAR, I did 2.5-3 weeks but I would not recommend that to anyone. I really did forced myself to study as much as possible and I actually did not went over the booklet for the new International standards. I took my chances with that and skimmed 1/2 of stockholder's equity (and what did u know, it was heavily tested on my exam).

I think 6 weeks is definitely good for FAR if you can study full-time. If there's a topic that you just have to know, it would have to be Governmental/Not-For-Profit. The thing is, if you spend 2 months, you will forget things.

Did you liked financial back in college? haha I meant I didn't loved it but I have to say that I am thankful to be able to recall some of the things that I learned back in college because some of the things that were tested on my exam was not in my study guide.

    BEC - 85 - 07/02/2011

If you study full time you can do any section of this exam in 5 weeks. I did BEC in 3 weeks while working full time. 5 full time weeks for bec is overkill. It has to be efficient no bs full time tho

How many hours are you planning to study per day? I agree with Herbie. 5 weeks studying is overkill if you are studying full time. I studied for BEC in 5 weeks and I was working full time. I believe I put in like 120 hours of study time in those 5 weeks. It was enough to get me past BEC.
