I am going the the BEC material and am noticing a lot of Auditing material, Internal Control and etc. Does this stuff actually get tested in BEC? any comments would be appreciated thanks

Yes COSO is pretty heavily tested, so make sure u know that well!

@amaffei to be honest, I have no clue what my writing topics were. I made sure they were structured properly, and then completely made something up!

I know that one of the Becker BEC writing sims was actually about COSO and I believe they have one outlined in the very beginning of the study material as well – so yeah, I would say that you should know it.

Based on my review of the material, it does mention the changes in COSO (2006, 2009, and 2013), and I think it says that 2013 pays more emphasis on the 5 categories of internal control and the 17 subcategories that govern them. Basically, just know it all inside and out. 🙂

Becker mentions hardly anything about COSO, just the obvious stuff.
