Hello guys i was wondering on average, how long did it take you to prep for BEC?? I am working full time and usually study 3hrs M-F and about 12 hrs on the weekends. Since its a MC exam was wondering if anyones has done it in 3 weeks. I was thinking of maybe doing it by the end of this window but i haven’t even started reviewing yet since i just took an exam this week. Is it doable or should i just forget about it and take it at the beg of next window?? Any suggestions, tips are very welcome. Thanks.

I took about 6-8 weeks the first time I took the test and 4 weeks the second time…. needless to say I missed it by a few points each time.

Only you know how well you know the material and how well you study.

    But it is possible.

Just found out yesterday I passed BEC. I pulled it off in about 3 weeks, mostly drilling MCQs section by section, over and over again. I used the book to reference what I didn't understand, and used the “hint” feature in the Wiley Test Bank to work problems I didn't know (can't say I didn't miss that thing on exam day!). When I got through the test bank, I ran problems in the Wiley book, focusing on sections I still wasn't comfortable with.

Also used the Ninja flashcards and ran those a few times with some friends (awesome people!).

I think as far as the test bank goes, no matter which one you have, I'd recommend breaking it up into topics rather than random sets. It helped me focus and learn the material in chunks rather than trying to learn everything at the same time. I didn't have the Ninja test bank this time around, but had it for FAR and absolutely loved it, so if you are looking for material, I'd highly recommend it.

In the end, it's all going to depend on how much time you put in. For some reason I learn better by cramming for a week or three before an exam – others have to take more time and do less per day. I also work full time and have a second part-time job, but don't have the family commitments that many others have. If you think you can pull it off, I'd say go for it! It's definitely doable!
