I’m working full time at one of the big fours as a tax staff. I have some provision work in Jan/Feb and then after that, busy season starts. I’m not sure how many hours I can contribute to my Becker self-study on a weekly basis… If I start studying for BEC in the first week of December, when should I schedule my exam?

@Daiijyoobi – I am taking REG late november and am scheduled to take BEC on Jan 2 right my firm starts amping up for busy season. I hear that 4-5 weeks should be plenty of time if your getting 15-20 hours in a week. I am also working full time if that helps out.

I just got done studying for BEC while working full time as well. I found that 4 weeks was plenty of time for me given my study plan. I would normally study about 4 hours a day. 2 hours before work and 2 hours after work. The first two chapters in BEC are difficult and move very slowly so you may feel like you are falling behind (like I did) but the last 4 chapters are very, very easy so you can fly through those.

    FAR: 85
    AUD: 80
    REG: 78
    BEC: 82
