This will be my first CPA exam. I was curious on how in detailed will they be asking for the multiple choice questions for the BEC exam.

I feel like I can see them asking questions to see if you know the material but do they ask you questions that basically 1 word changes the difference from it being correct or not?

I’m taking the exam at the end of February and I only been using Becker to study with and been studying about 20 hours a week and will be a total of about 7 weeks and a couple days. I basically will finish all my sections this week and will have about almost 2 weeks to review.

I feel confident at times and then nervous other times thinking I forgot everything when I’m away from studying.

    BEC: 82
    FAR: 80
    REG: 81
AUD: Last exam, end of may 2016.

Key to passing the exam is understanding the topic chapter and sections, not just memorizing what you read. The more you practice multiple choice, the greater chance you have to passing the exam.

Hmm no I don't think it was like that. Have you checked the released questions? Those should give you an idea of what the problems are like. Don't worry I think you'll do just fine!!

Becker tends to be much more difficult than the actual exam. This is actually to your benefit though. If you can handle the Becker MCQ and do well on them, you should be in good shape for the actual exam.

If you purchase the NINJA MCQ from this site, those questions are a bit more representative of what you'll actually see on the exam. NINJA is a really good way to supplement another review course (like Becker) once you've finished all of the lectures and gone through Becker's MCQ once.

With that being said, the biggest danger of any test bank is memorizing answerns and not understanding the concepts behind it. If you get to the point where you're reading the question “Sally owns a tax service and goes to a football game…” And you immediately say “Oh! The answer is elephant!” You're doing it wrong. You need to understand why the answer is “elephant” in the context of the question and why “Potatoe, Telephone and 19th century irrigation techniques” are the wrong answers.

Yes, you need to read the full question because one word can, and will, change what is the correct answer. You said you're working on BEC so it's not quite as bad for this one. AUD, however, is notorious for language tricks where one word will completely change the answer. BEC tends to be a bit more straight forward but you still want to take the time to read the full question for comprehension.

Final piece of advice. We all feel the same way while studying. There are times where you will break down over the material and there will be times where you feel great about it. Honestly the best thing to do is simply keep studying, keep practicing MCQ and just be confident in yourself.

    Good luck!
