    Hi,

I am using Becker’s 2011 review course for BEC. I am taking the exam in mid April 2012. Can I still use the 2011 materials or shall I purchase the 2012 edition.I heard that the 2012 edition has 6 chapters. The 2011 edition has only 5 chapters. So, I am concerned that I might be missing out something important.

Does anyone has used the Final Review with Becker? Was it good? Also, I feel like I need to supplement my Becker’s study with a different material. Any suggestion what might work?

    Thank you

Thank you very much for your reply. I am allocating one and a half months to study for BEC. Do you think that's enough time or I need more? I can't afford to fail BEC, otherwise I will lose credits. I am so worried.

I also need help with BEC. I prepared with 2011 Becker and it did not do the job. 40% of the questions took me off-guard. Becker is not good with BEC (at least not for me).

Is anybody here who passed recently who can recommend me another software?

    AUD 87
    BEC 69, 81
    REG 76
    FAR 72, 11/30/12

I studied for BEC for exactly 1 Month. Watched lectures, read book, did MCQ's.. watched lectures again, did MCQ's again, read book word for word day before the exam.. Nora- most if not all the material you can find additional information by simply searching online.. go to wikipedia and search for the terms your having trouble with.. ACTUALLY understanding the material is key here.. so even if you buy 4 more softwares and do 50k MCQ's if you dont understand youll still have a hard time once they change the questions a little bit.. and im not sure how you came up with 40% but i think give BEC another shot before you start thinking of spending all that money on purchasing other software.

Hope this helps.. no success is easy .. especially this one. good luck.

Thank you, rezaking. I will try again. It is frustrating, because with same amount of studying, I passed AUD (84). The AUD exam was VERY similar with Becker study books. I cannot say the same about BEC though….

    BEC 69, 81
    REG 76
    FAR 72, 11/30/12

I passed BEC in January using the 2011 Becker and the free Gleim bank. Do the multiple choice questions, but make sure to read all the material, not just the highlighted material, and understand the meanings behind the calcs.

    Reg 77 (Aug 11)
    Aud 80 (Nov 11)
    BEC 79 (Jan 12)
    FAR 80 (April 12)

Repetition and writing helps me learn the concepts best, I have about 3 notebooks I use, one for scrap, one for “nuggets of information” and one for formulas and outlines, such as COGM or Breakeven, etc. I don't take any notes during lectures, I just listen intently and do what Olinto tells me to do. The MCQ's are where I am REALLY learning.
