I just failed my first exam. 67 on BEC. Pretty frustrating when you feel like you studied your tail off. I am seeking advice from those that have had to retake BEC or those that passed the first time. I obviously don’t want to do exactly what I did before, but am not sure where to start. I am going to order Nina Notes and add those to my Becker self study. I am going to review everything and then focus on weak areas. I just don’t want to get to bogged down in stuff I already know or waste time. I just feel a little stuck and hope some of you could get me going in the right direction after my first test and first fail.

@nbad311 Thank you so much. I just needed a little confirmation. 🙂 I feel like watching videos at this point would waste lots of time. I wasn't sure if that was truly the case, or if I was just trying to convince myself so I wouldn't have to.

Trying to stay focused!! Thanks again!! That is great that you increased your score that much. Gives me hope! I got a 67 the first time. BEC was my first CPA test ever so i had major, major nerves going in. Glad I won't have those or as bad going forward. Cannot wait to see a passing score!!!

I would suggest working through every question in your study software and Wiley at least once. Also during your MCQ work, anytime you have a question with reference to a formula, write the formula out, each time, in full. I received this advice from a fellow CPA and it made the difference for me. When the problems on the actual test showed up, I was able to write the formula out to figure it out each time. I got a 79 on BEC the first time and I fully believe this was my passing grace.
