Hi, I am preparing for BEC. I have never had a finance course. I am currently using Gleim, but I dont believe that the system does a good job covering finance ( or maybe it does and I am an idiot!!!). Does anyone have any suggestions for a program that goes in depth with finance?

Hey, I think we are on the same page. I just finished Bec 3 lectures today. Well, for me the concepts are not so hard since i have taken finance classes. But there are a lot of info to retain which seems difficult. I am using becker and it has done a good job explaning things. It may be just because I was familair with the concepts already. I think finance is all about formula. If you do not understand something really well, then just memorize the formula and try to apply it to the practice questions. Do not get caught up reading and listening to the chapters again and again. My theory here is, if you did not get it the first time, then no matter what you won't get it until you do some practice questions. And again, finance is all about formulas, try to memorize it and apply it in your practice questions. That should do it. Hey anyways, when are you sitting for the exam. I am planning at the end of november. But have not applied for the NTS and yet registered. This is my second exam so I am hoping to get the NTS in a week or so and I am praying to get the seat in the exam.

    Hi,

I am planning to sit for the exam at the end of November( the 24th to be exact). I may have to push the test back until January which will suck because the exam will have changed… The exam will then introduce written communication.
