This formula seems to work for me:

Units Completed

+ Ending wip (% complete)

= Weighted Average

Weighted Average

– Beginning wip (% complete)

= FIFO

Will this formula lead me astray in unusual circumstances? I asked my Becker teacher, and they said just to do it the way the book does, which is overly complicated in my opinion. Thoughts before I commit to it on the test would be appreciated, seems to work on Becker MC.
