I would know it (as with all the other formulas). Easy formula – understand how each variable affects it as well.

    BEC: 74,74,76
    REG: 70,
    FAR:
    AUD: 70,74,

Glad you brought that up because I don't understand the example they have in Becker for this. Does anyone have a 2012 Becker BEC review book that they can look at for this? Page B3-47, the example does not follow the formula on the previous page.

First of all it doesn't use Annual sales in units but monthly sales. I could deal with that except they are dividing by total monthly carrying costs instead of Carrying Cost per Unit, like the formula says. Do you think the $50/month carrying costs are actually per unit? That's the only way I can get this to make sense.

    FAR - 92 (4/27/12)
    AUD - 96 (7/17/12)
    BEC - 92 (8/30/12)
    REG - 91 (11/12/12)

“How much would you study the formula for this?” I don't get this question… I would study it for 1 to 2 minutes so that I remember the formula? You make it seem like it'll take you hours to memorize 1 formula. If you're willing to take shortcuts and try to figure out what you don't need to study, then you won't be guaranteed to pass [in contrast to knowing all the formulas and everything on the test, then you're pretty much guaranteed to pass]. Obviously, not knowing a formula here or there won't be the sole determining factor of whether you don't pass or not, but the whole mindset of trying to avoid some studying and not making yourself accountable to know everything that could be tested is problematic.

I love how Pete says it pretty self explanatory but isn't really. How it works though is you have monthly unit sales (100) and monthly carrying costs for a single unit ($50), as long as they are both are for the same time period(monthly, annual or even daily), it works without effecting the formula.

    B- 8/13/2012- 92
    A- 7/19/2012- 83
    R- 5/30/2012-82
    F- 7/3/2012- 90

And as jrstory stated, to make the formula work you just need the D and C of the formula to be in the same units.

Thanks for your input, @jrstory and @cardinalhoya. I thought they might have meant that the carrying costs were $50/unit/month, but the question did not make that clear, so I got confused. I did catch that it would work either monthly or annually as long as we are consistent. Just needed some confirmation on the cost per unit thing.
