I just took a practice exam for BEC. I received my score, but it didn’t show any grade for written communication. Does CPA Excel even grade your written communication memos?

For each testlet I received a 79%, 75%, and 75% and my overall grade much lower.

After I completed each memo, it asked me to compare my memo to their ideal memo and to grade it, which I did not because I wanted to have my practice test experience is close to the real exam. I wanted to dive straight into the next memo. So maybe because I didn’t grade any of those memos, it kept me at a zero for each one and that’s the reason for the much lower score. If that is the case, then that’s stupid because why would I be grading my own memo?!

Has anyone had this same experience?

Actually just got off the phone with CPA Excel and they said I didn't grade my memos which gave me an incomplete for all 3. Pretty stupid that they want me to compare my essay to their ideal essay and grade it. I'm pretty sure during the real exam I won't be grading my own test. Oh well…
