Yeah me too…I really crammed for this exam. I felt confident on the business entity and Managerial Accounting but that was pretty much it…IT questions might have as well been written in Chinese because I had to guess on most of them. Hopefully I passed, I thought I bombed FAR royally but I passed…so miracles happen!

So it wasn't only me that thought IT questions were written in chinese man……I don't think other sections were bad……..probably it was easy for me because I used to tutor managerial accounting……..

BEC-NY, Do you have any resources that you can reccomend for managerial accounting??

I am using Yeager CPA Review and Wiley books. Managerial Accounting is a MAJOR weak point for me.

Well I didn't use the Becker for Variance part…….because becker didn't explain it well so I used text book that I had from my managerial acct class…….and It was pretty straight forward…….Do not try to cram the managerial acct because its very easy to twist the questions……its better you understand it……so try the text book

Mike – Managerial accounting was a weak area of mine and I just watched the Yaeger lecture (I actually used the cram to pass BEC) and worked all of the Yaeger-assigned MCQs.

Since you have the HomeStudy – you're in even better shape.

Have faith in Cindy…she's a CPA/CMA…she knows what you need to pass.

what do you suggest for IT incase if I failed…..do you have any suggestions or advices……..I know I did bad in IT. it was nothing like becker IT.

BEC- NY for IT, its too broad, i would focus on the IT as it relates to internal controls, as well as having a understanding of backups and databases. I found those to be helpful in exam preparation The previous exam was just way out there, I am in IT and there was no way that people could have anticipated those types of questions.

NJTProadwarrior – grab a Wiley book and do every single IT question in the book. That's the way to go. Work the questions…read the answers…do them close to your exam for short term memory purposes.

those questions are totally different…….I agree with you MIKE…….I hope i can barely make it……thts all I am praying for……..I only passed FAR and don't wanna loss the credit……..

Hey guys…I have been reading the posts for several days and I am very excited about getting our scores. I know that tomorrow is going to be a very unproductive day at work. I am not sure how I feel about the exam…I don't think Becker prepared me very well for the IT section but I think I have heard that from most people. I am hoping I did enough in the other areas to make up for it.

Jeff, you are right!!!!!!! I realized it after i took the exam….should study IT questions before the exam……If i failed this time All I will study IT and take the exam……….Other sections I still know inside out…..its just the IT I am scared off
