I read that the score almost never changes…and it costs a decent amount of money

that's not the scoring process and from what I hear no one has had a change of score in over a year w/ the appeal process.

Very upsetting I know…try again, you do it next time.

I got a 72 if that makes you feel any better

Appeals are very rare…. consensus is to just pay for another NTS… also note that the score you receive is not your raw score they tweak it…. so its impossible to tell how much you missed it by with your raw score. GL!!

Passed with 81 in NJ! I felt that I did better on BEC than other exams but got less score than FAR. Don't get that but who cares, I passed!! 3 down, one to go. Auditing in November. Thanks Jeff for this site, otherwise I wouldn't have known when score comes out.

71 her…uggh! I am going the wrong way 68,74,73,71. I wouldn't pay for the appeal, especially on an all mc one. I think the chance of getting your score changes is REALLY slim.

dman- Scores are not calculated as a pure percentage. Some questions do not count, and questions have different weights. It is possible that you got 50% correct which resulted in 74 points. Many people bring this issue up, and the consensus seems to be that it is near impossible to get a score change. 74 is rough, but at least you are right on the cusp. Best luck in the future.

    I just don't understand it.

out of 10,000 people, I must be number 9,978 to receive their score.

Does this mean i failed, was close, have no bearing whatsoever?

Ya, I have been using Becker. I am going to have to switch something up. I just am not getting any better at the cost accounting stuff. That is what has killed me on every exam. Anyone in mass want to tutor? Haha.

I got a 72% again on BEC for the second time around. Does anyone have any tips on how I can pass this demon?

Stacy – everyone has a different study style that works for them. What works for me (which I learned from a friend who passed all four at 1st try) is to study one section of the chapter at a time, by watching the lecture and immediately after it doing the homework for it. Keep doing this for all the sections in the chapter then do the progress test for the chapter. Once you get to the next chapter, do the same, and then do the progress test for the chapters you've studied up to that point. If you get 80% of the questions right when doing the progress test, you're in good shape. This also helps you refresh your memory for the past chapters.

Hope this helps and good luck!
