I will be taking my first CPA exam in 1 1/2 weeks and I am super nervous. But using Becker, I have finished all of the lectures, MCQs, and read through the book. I feel fairly comfortable with the calculation portions that I attempted. I am just a little concerned about concept questions, especially COSO, governance, and econ. Will just restudying those sections be enough or should I supplement them with other material?

    BEC: 10/1/12 - 84
    AUD: 11/1/12 - 94
    REG: 12/6/12 - 90
    FAR: 1/25/13 - 93

Have you taken any of the practice tests? If not, do that first. If your assumptions prove correct and you do not do well on those sections I would recommend really hammering those sections. When I passed BEC I actually got weaker on the Corp Govern. and still passed because I got stronger on my other sections and on the WC. If you feel you need to see some of the information in a different way I suggest getting the Ninja Notes. I am a huge advocate for the Ninja Notes. They are a GREAT investment. I didn't like Becker for BEC so I supplemented with the Ninja Notes and it jumped my score up almost 10 points.

I think the following link is a helpful supplement to any review program:

NIU CPA Review Correspondence is awesome!

I passed all four sections on the first attempt

I used only Becker so far, but I did do both practice exams and used their Final Review software, which helped me know what to do the last 4-5 days leading up to the exam. If you haven't, I would take a practice exam now and that will give you an idea of weak areas. I do think it is best to do both practice exams because I always thought they seemed to cover different topics, versus being a total mix of the info. I've always split them up a week between. Being your first exam, I know it is stressful not knowing exactly what you are going into, but Becker did a great job of making me feel very familiar with the exam before I got there.

    AUD 85 (2/12) Using Becker
    FAR 81 (5/12)
    BEC 79 (7/13)
    REG 85 (10/1)
