I’ve literally studied so much BEC I can’t tell if I’m getting better or not. Minimum practice tests I get are 70% and top out around 85%. A lot of that is stuff I’m incapable of remembering, or unsure how to tackle the issue that I keep getting wrong, or simply don’t know where to look to figure it out.

I often remember the test bank score, and I can’t tell if reading stuff is making me better on any subject. I’m trying to make up 1 point. I’ve been taking notes which is new for me. Anyways, anyone else overcome the fear u aren’t figuring out new things? I simply can’t tell.

    REG - 68 | 71 | 88 | 86
    FAR - 72 | 74 | 79
    AUD - 66 | 70 | 77
    BEC - 62 | 74 | 80

    Guess that means I'm a soon-to-be CPA!

Maybe you could start writing your notes or use the notes to go along with the ones you got incorrect. or maybe go over flash cards or notes again before doing more questions. Keep working…….you're almost there.

    It begins with a 75

With a range of 70-85% it appears that you are fairly proficient with the material. Take a positive approach and be happy that you are being faced with things you don't know. Its better to miss it now than later. There is alot of luck in this exam too. You can have a good pool of questions or a bad pool. With 70% being the floor I wouldn't worry too much and just keep practicing.

    BEC 71,77
    REG 65,85
    FAR 7/1/13
    AUD 8/24/13

I felt like I was max'ing out with AUD because I was consistently scoring in the upper 80's. But then I realized I was looking at it completely wrong. Basically, it's okay if you're doing MCQ's and you seem to be getting familiar with the material because the key is to know this information like it's second nature. The goal for the review session of the MCQ's is to establish that you continue to have a solid understanding of the topics, but more importantly, making sure you take notes on questions or concepts that seem odd, unusual, or foreign to you.

But be very careful. Do not zoom through MCQ's or go straight to an answer just because you recognize the question and structure. Instead, read the question slowly and thoroughly. If you know the answer via memorization, then try a new approach and start reading the wrong answers. Can you articulate and reason why these answers are wrong? If not, take notes on that!

I feel this is a common occurrence for me in all of my 2nd exams (I always fail the first) is that the MCQ's become less about quantity and right/wrong and moreso about quality and how much information you can pull from a single question. So make sure you're focusing on why a question is right, but also on why the three other selections are wrong.

I think that'll up your efficiency for the MCQ's.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.
