I have all the Yaeger and NINJA materials. I recently passed my first section AUD with an 84 but studied for 2 solid months for that. I have bec scheduled for a month from now. Please offer any advice.

Congrats on passing your first one! For BEC, i would suggest:

Week 1 – Chapter 1 & 2

Week 2 – Chapter 3 & 4

Week 3 – Chapter 5 & 6

Week 4 – Redo as many MCQ's as possible. Take multiple practice tests. Review a few writing samples (this section is not hard at all), as long as you understand the theory and concepts behind what they are asking. You can still do good in this section without knowing everything they ask. Just make sure you write in complete sentences, no mispelling, correct punctuations, etc.

I would say that chapters 2 and 3 are the hardest chapters IMO. Make sure you are super comfortable with that. Chapters 4 – 6 arent so bad. Chapter 5 may be a little confusing because of the economics material so make sure you understand all of the supply and demand stuff. Write down all of the formulas/ratio on a notepad and study those along with the material. There are quite a few questions requiring u to remember a formula and applying it. There's also a few IT stuff so make sure you skim through those. I didnt think the IT terminology was too bad. Definitely study COSO, Internal Controls, and Enterprise Risk Management. That is heavily tested. I believe those are in Chapter 1 or 2.

I was able to get thru BEC with 4 weeks preparation while working full time. I have the basic background on BEC topics (formulas, variance, etc.) plus some overlaps of FAR and AUD so I did not spend so much time with a particular topic. I listened to audio while driving to and from work which gave me an overview of the topic then I did all MCQs in study mode (shows the answer right away) then took notes from there. I only refered to the book if there's something that I don't understand or asked in the study group thread. Also I took notes of the subject(s) that mostly tested in the MCQs which gave me an idea what to focus on. My goal was to finish all topics within 3 weeks and the final week was to focus on my weak areas then do comprehensive MCQs to refresh my brain. I did not practice WC but I read the guide on how to write one and looked at some examples. I spent around 80 hours for the review, that means reviewing whenever I have the chance. Good luck!
