Does anyone else think the tabular format for Becker’s variance analysis in BEC is crap? I mean, why learn this convoluted tabular system when I can memorize the formulas for the variance (which to me seems way easier….)

Am I missing something?? Do you need to know how to do the tabular format on the exam or something? What a terrible way to teach a concept!

I think it's the way Becker teaches the tabular format. It's awful. I learned the tabular format in college and prefer that method, but I also had the benefit of having a great professor teach it to me.
