I have been counting down the minutes all.day.long. Damn batch processing.
As far as the CPA licensure goes…in my state scores do not expire. Once you pass the exam and amass the necessary education requirement (which you need to sit for the exam), you receive your certficate. At that time you can use the CPA designation after your name; however in order to be licensed, you still have to meet the experience requirements (1 yr public/2 yr industry). I only have 7 months of public (and don't ever plan on going back), but have almost 10 years of commercial banking, so I will be using every ounce of persuasion to get someone to sign off on it. I don't necessarily want to practice, but I do agree that having that designation makes you VERY marketable. I have my MBA, but so does everyone else I know. A CPA? Not so much.
Oh, and congrats to all who have passed! I hope since non-NASBA states are releasing scores that NASBA is a go for tonight.
