magic8, you need a CPA in order to become a manager… takes about 5 years or so to be promoted to manager from 1st year associate. I just got promoted to senior so if i'm with the firm another 3 years, gotta get the CPA out of the way in that time frame, otherwise, i'll be in my 5th, 6th, or 7th year as senior and we def. have those here. Also, during my compensation meeting with the partner, he asked me how the CPA was coming along and told him I'm waiting on two scores so there's def. that pressure to pass ASAP! I have a senior here who passed 3 parts (took 3 exams in July after having the previous 3 expired on him), but he has failed REG 5x and is really upset. We have plenty of people here fighting the good fight to pass but we also have alot of the 4 out of 4 one shot takers who have passed. But yeah, the pressure is def. there!
