CPAJD – what study materials are you using? if you only have 10 days i would probably skip some of the lectures (like economics) since it is only a small portion of the exam. maybe just tackle the multiple choice to gauge where you are with the material. you really have to focus on all the other sections (business structure, IT, financial management, and cost accounting). if you are strong in any of those areas…go over the multiple choice a couple of times and see how you do. if you have any confusion, view the lectures!

    hope that helps! good luck

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

Just “venting”…this process takes forever. I've been studying during all my “free” time (after work, sometimes during work) for the past six months and feel like I'm getting nowhere…I've passed one, missed one by two points, and am waiting on the score for my last one that I took on 7/2. I wish the score grading/release process was more respectful of the time, effort, and anxiety we put into studying for and taking this exam…

….okay, that's over and out of my system! Back to the books!!

    Hi guys,

So I didn't study as much as I would've liked for this one and was pretty convinced that I am just not making it his window (The exam is tomorrow 🙂 ) But then I took the Becker practice exam and got stable 70,70,73 in testlets 1,2,3 respectively. Does this mean I actually have a chance of passing? 🙂 Any suggestions on how to best use these few hours of studying I have remaining?

    Greatly appreciated!

Yes you have a chance. Just go over the areas you tested weakest in. Get plenty of rest though. I think most people say they score about 10 – 15 points higher on the actual exam than the Becker Final exams. Good luck!

Skim the chapters and some of the key formulas per Becker chapters 3, 4 & 5 are worth the most points.

cpajourney – thank you so much! Just had a cup of coffee to pull me through the evening! going through the wrong answer explanations right now and then either taking exam number or reviewing. Reviewing will probably be more productive.

Need to relax tomorrow and good luck everyone sitting through this with me!

    Jeff:

I took BEC on August 3, 2010. There are a lot of questions are not in Becker material. If I fail, is there any material I can purchase for studying BEC?

    Hi,

I took my exam today, I know that the prediction schedule says that Friday was the cutoff day, but is there any chance that I will fit into Wave 1? Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks.

kawaii – I used Yaeger to pass BEC – check out the coupon codes on my site if you're interested in saving $$ – they are Yaeger's best discounts.

Wave 1's cutoff is today, August 7 – I said August 6 to be sure. Probably today though.

Last testing window there were some BEC testers who made into wave 1 release after the normal cut off date. Most likey was due to BEC not having sims. Wish the scores could be released as soon as the BEC exam was completed.

    Good luck!

    Thanks, Jeff:

If I don't pass BEC, I will purchase Yaeger. I am study for Auditing now. I took in May, and got 72. I was good at Multiple Choose, not good at simulation. How can I improve simulation?

CPA Journey. Thanks a lot for the information. Hopefully I made wave 1…this is (hopefully) my last section, it's only been 5 hours and I am already worrying about score releases! I agree, though, I wish you knew right away.
