Has anyone used Bisk lately to study for BEC? I'm just wondering if it is weak in any particular area that I might need to supplement with something else.

I am studying for BEC with Becker's and some of their multiple choice questions regarding leverage, have the formulas in them. Will these be shown on the exam or should I start memorizing these formulas? I'm starting to freak out since my exam is in 2 days and I'm starting to look through all my flashcards and found these amongst them….

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

michelle if you can memorize them then i probably would. there are no simulations in BEC and i highly doubt that the formula will be given in the question! just write them down a few times on a piece of paper and see if you can remember them that way. i think DOL is change in operating income / change in volume right? i can't seem to remember DOFL..something to do with change in EPS / something…lol.

anyway, try to memorize them if you can! 🙂 good luck!

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

you're welcome! i mean how many hours were you planning to study in those 3 weeks?! i am only giving myself 5 weeks for FAR, but am studying 25 hours a week to make up for it. it isn't impossible to do it in 3 weeks, but you need to make sure you give yourself enough time to absorb and understand the info!

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

    Michelle,

I memorized them….they are pretty easy especially if you use that long one at the bottom of one of the pages. That way you can see how each one is a part of the other. I thought that was a simple way to memorize them. I took my test last sunday(7/25) ….GL to you

    IL - BECKER=============> DONE
    REG - 80; FAR - 65,79; AUD - 53,78; BEC - 71,68, 75 (used becker and yaeger for 3rd BEC)Ethics 95

I'M GONNA CELEBRATE AND LIVE MY LIFE SAYING AYE OH BABY LETS GO!!!!!

Thanks everyone, I finished my exam and just got back home. There was a bunch of random questions that I felt should have been on the Audit exam and not the BEC exam. I guess it was a good thing I had started on some of my audit studying for the end of next month. Anyone else have a handful of questions like this?

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

    MPoni-

well i gave myself more like 3 months for FAR.

Michelle119 – you said your BEC test is more like Audit? What do you mean by that? I'm getting scared cause I have not touched Audit yet.

@cpahopeful – it was a handful of qestions maybe 6-8 that were it related but I remembered seeing in my audit lectures but didn't remember in my bec lectures. I wouldn't sweat it they were probably not counted….

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

you could definitely get audit related questions on your BEC exam that actually count towards your grade because it relates to internal controls and IT. you are more likely to see it on your AUD exam. all these sections seem to overlap…i just want my BEC score already!

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

I took my retake yesterday and all in all, I felt better walking out of there than how I felt when I walked out with a 71. This one seemed to have fewer calculation problems than my first exam did. There was only 1 question that I felt was out of left field. My best advice I can give it do as many multiple choice as you can stomach… and then do 200 more. I used Becker the first time around for about 50 hours of study time and then for the retake I used the Becker book and answered close to 1800 MC questions from Gleim. Now for the waiting game.

    REG 97, FAR 69,82, AUD 80, BEC 71, 81 - It finally ended!!

Has anyones exam had a bunch of charts on it? I'm reviewing variances right now and my book has a ton of chart questions that make zero sense to me. Just wondering how prevelent these might be on the actual exam?

@Lindsey A…Cindy w/Yaeger says you won't see charts on the CPA exam, because they took up too much space in the database.

Just finished AUD this past Saturday, and completed my move to Michigan yesterday. Just wondering if anyone has tips for craming for BEC in a short period of time. By short I mean 10 days…
